my quick spaghetti meat sauce. time is estimated. Ingredients:
1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce |
1 (6 ounce) can hunts tomato paste |
1 lb ground beef |
1/2 onion, finely chopped |
2 tablespoons dried basil |
1 -2 teaspoon italian seasoning |
2 teaspoons sugar |
1 teaspoon lemon pepper |
1 -2 tablespoon kosher salt |
Directions:
1. cook ground beef as follows. 2. lightly cover bottom of skillet with salt. 3. sprinkle ground beef over salt. 4. sprinkle half of basil over beef. 5. smoosh beef with back of spatula while browning to keep meat from chunking. 6. once beef is mostly cooked, add onion. 7. when onion is soft, add remaining ingredients except salt. 8. bring to simmer, do not boil. 9. taste. 10. add salt and pepper to taste. 11. serve over pasta. |
