I found this in an old Campbell Soup recipe book when I was looking for something quick to make for dinner. I used lower sodium soup but I am sure it would be just as good with the regular. I found it to be a little bland but my fussy boyfriend really liked it, I would have added some chopped green pepper if only he would eat them! You can season as you like, I have omitted the salt for the dietary restricutions in our household. Ingredients:
1 lb ground sirloin |
1/2 cup chopped onion |
1 (14 1/2 ounce) can tomato soup |
1 tablespoon prepared mustard |
1 tablespoon ketchup |
1/2 teaspoon pepper |
Directions:
1. In large frying pan, brown ground sirloin and onions until meat is done and oinions are tender. Drain off fat. 2. Add remaining ingredients, cover and cook on low for 10 minutes. 3. Serve on hamburger or Kaiser rolls. 4. Top with a slice of cheese if desired. |
