Ingredients:
1 pound ground round |
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
1/4 teaspoon ground pepper |
vegetable cooking spray |
1 (8-ounce) package presliced fresh mushrooms |
1/4 cup chopped onion |
1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh thyme or 1 teaspoon dried thyme |
2 tablespoons dry sherry or white wine |
1 (12-ounce) jar fat-free beef gravy |
fresh thyme sprigs |
Directions:
1. Combine first 4 ingredients in a medium bowl; mix well. Shape mixture into 4 (1/2-inch-thick) patties. 2. Coat a large nonstick skillet with cooking spray; place over medium heat until hot. Add patties, and cook 4 to 5 minutes on each side or until done. Remove patties from skillet, and set aside. 3. Increase heat to medium-high; add mushrooms, onion, and thyme; cook, stirring constantly, 3 minutes or until vegetables are tender. Add sherry; cook 1 minute. Stir in gravy; return patties to skillet. Cook 2 minutes or until thoroughly heated. Garnish with thyme, if desired. |
