This recipe comes from a little book called ABC of Jiffy Cookery. I've had it for over 50 years. I haven't cooked any of the recipes yet. I'm putting them here so I can find them easier. Ingredients:
4 english muffins |
4 tablespoons chili sauce |
4 tablespoons sharp cheddar cheese |
2 teaspoons spaghetti sauce |
Directions:
1. Tear ( do not cut) muffins in two, keeping the rounds fairly even. Toast but do not brown the flat sides by placing them at least 5 inches below the broiler flame. Remove from broiler and spread with 1 teaspoons chili sauce on each piece. Crisscross thin strips of cheese, over which 1/4 teaspoons spaghetti seasoning is sprinkled. Return to broiler and toast until cheese is melted. |
