Mexican meets Italian in this recipe! Salsa makes creating this appetizer quick and easy. Ingredients:
1 loaf crusty bread (italian, french, sourdough) |
2 cups thick & chunky salsa |
2 cups shredded monterey jack cheese |
chopped fresh basil or parsley, if desired |
Directions:
1. Heat broiler. 2. Slice bread lengthwise. 3. Place under broiler to slightly brown on top. 4. Spread with salsa. 5. Sprinkle with cheese and parsley. 6. Return to broiler to warm topping and melt cheese. 7. Cut into small slices for appetizers or larger ones to serve with meats. |
