If you don't have a brownie mix in your pantry, try this simple method to make brownies from a cake mix. Quick Easy and Tasty Ingredients:
moist recipe chocolate cake mix |
1 stick butter |
1/2 cup brown sugar |
1 medium egg |
2 tbsp. water |
1 cup chopped nuts |
1 (10 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Spray the bottom and sides of a baking pan thoroughly with cooking spray. 2. Place the stick of butter in a microwave safe container and heat for 30 to 45 seconds on medium-high heat, or until melted. 3. Combine cake mix, melted butter, brown sugar, egg and water in a large mixing bowl. Mix it using electric beaters for 1 to 2 minutes, or until thick and creamy. 4. The mixture should now resemble a thick cake or brownie batter. 5. Mix nuts and chocolate chips into the batter using a large spoon. Transfer batter to the greased baking pan using the large spoon. The batter should be too thick to pour without using a utensil. Press the batter into the pan firmly using the back of the spoon. 6. Put the pan in the pre-heated oven and bake 30 to 35 minutes, or until a dry crust forms over the top of the brownies. Remove the pan from the oven and allow the brownies to cool completely. Place it on a cooling rack, if desired, to speed cooling. |
