This is a super quick tasty pilaf. Ingredients:
3/4 cup chopped onion - i like green |
1/2 cup slivered almonds |
1 tablespoon butter or margarine |
2 cups chicken broth |
2 cups uncooked instant rice |
Directions:
1. In a saucepan, saute onion and almonds in butter until the onions are tender and the almonds lightly brown. Add broth and bring to a boil. Stir in rice, cover and remove from heat. Let stand for 7 or 8 minutes till all the liquid is gone. Fluff and serve = ) |
