THIS DISH IS A MEAL BY ITS SELF, BUT IS GOOD WITH CORN BREAD. MY FAMILY LOVES IT. Ingredients:
1can of tomatoe sauce or tomatoe paste. |
1can of navy beans |
1can of pinto beans |
1can of (small) red beans |
1can of black beans. |
1/4 cup of chopped celery |
1/4 cup of chopped onion |
1/4 cup of green pepper |
1/2 lb. of meat of your choice, i use chicken or beef. |
1can of stewed tomatoes italian style. |
1/4 tsp garlic |
add chili powder to your taste. |
Directions:
1. BROWN OR BOIL MEAT AND VEGETABLES AND GARLIC, DRAIN AND PLACE IN LARGE PAN. ADD THE BEANS AND CHILI POWDER, STEWED TOMATOES , TOMATOE SAUCE OR TOMATOE PASTE. COOK OVER MEDIUM HEAT FOR ABOUT 20 MINS. 2. SERVE THIS CHILI WITH CORNBREAD AND A SALAD AND YOU WILL HAVE A COMPLETE MEAL. CAN GARNISH WITH CHEESE IF SO DESIRED. |
