yummy breakfast quiche Ingredients:
1 (9 inch) unbaked pie shells |
1/2 lb bacon |
1 1/2 cups swiss cheese (6 oz) |
3 eggs |
1 1/2 cups light cream |
3/4 teaspoon salt |
1 dash nutmeg |
1 dash cayenne |
1 dash pepper |
Directions:
1. Prepare pie shell, refrigerate until ready to use. 2. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees. 3. Fry bacon until crisp;drain on paper towels. 4. Crumble bacon into bits and sprinle over bottom of prepared pie shell. Sprinkle with grated swiss cheese. 5. In medium bowl, with rotary beater, beat eggs with light cream, salt, nutmeg, cayenne, and pepper until well combined but not frothy. 6. Pur mixture into pie shell. 7. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes, or until the top is golden and the center seems form when gently shaken. 8. Let Quiche Lorraine cool on a wire rack for 10 minutes before serving. |
