This is a simple lasagna recipe with great flavor. Just add a salad and garlic bread and you're all set. I used to fix this with just ground beef but tried it with the Italian sausage (sweet) and liked it even better. Or, you can just use the Italian sausage. Almost as good with fat-free ingredients so give it a try too. It's good either way. If there is any left, you can freeze individual squares for the perfect quick lunch another day. Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef, cooked |
1 lb italian sausage, cooked |
24 -36 ounces spaghetti sauce (i prefer prego traditional) |
15 ounces ricotta cheese |
4 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded |
2 eggs |
9 lasagna noodles, cooked |
1/2 cup parmesan cheese, grated |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. 2. Combine cooked ground beef and ground Italian sausage with Prego sauce. 3. Mix ricotta cheese, mozarella cheese and eggs in separate bowl. 4. Spray 9 x 13 baking dish with cooking spray. 5. Add 1 cup Prego mixture to bottom of baking dish. 6. Layer 3 lasagna noodles on top of Prego mixture. 7. Layer 1 cup cheese mixture on top of noodles. 8. Repeat layers. 9. Top with remaining noodles. 10. Top with remaining Prego sauce. 11. Sprinkle Paremesan cheese on top. 12. Bake 30 minutes. 13. Let stand 10 minutes before serving. |
