I found this in a Quaker Oats flyer - it's so delicious!! I'm curious to try it again as the first time I made it, it didn't stick together in bars as I expected, it was more granola-y in clumps, but I have to try it again to make sure my measurements were correct. It's so delicious, a co-worker who doesn't like granola actually asked for the recipe because she liked it so much! I did use dried blueberries instead of the raisins.
Ingredients:
3 cups oatmeal (large flake if possible, else quick)
3/4 cup sunflower seeds
1/4 cup sesame seeds
3/4 cup almonds, sliced
1/4 cup butter
1/3 cup light brown sugar
1 tablespoon cinnamon
1/3 cup honey
1/2 cup wheat germ
1/2 cup dried apricot
1/2 cup flaked coconut
1 cup golden raisin
1 cup dried cranberries
1/2 cup dried cherries
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 325. Toast the oats, seeds, and almonds. In a saute pan, gently heat the butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, and honey, stirring to incorporate the flavours.
2. In a large mixing bowl, combine all ingredients, mix well. Line baking sheet with parchment paper and spread mixture evenly. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes. While still warm, cut into squares. Cool & serve.
