These are my all time favorite pancakes from my childhood. We always made pancakes from scratch, and my Dad is famous in our family for making these on Sunday mornings. Ingredients:
2 cups cake-and-pastry flour (or all purpose flour) |
3 teaspoons baking powder |
1 teaspoon salt |
1/4 cup sugar |
1 egg |
2 cups milk |
1/4 cup butter, melted |
Directions:
1. Stir liquid into dry ingredients, beating until almost smooth (do not over mix). 2. Pour batter onto preheated griddle, using 1/4 cup batter for each pancake. Turn when bubbles break on sufrace. 3. Serve hot with butter and maple syrup. |
