My husband likes to call this Kitty Chow instead of Puppy Chow... he's a cat person. I searched through all the Puppy Chow recipes on the zaar and couldn't find one just like mine. I think this may be from the chex's cereal box. Ingredients:
9 cups chex cereal |
1 cup chocolate |
1/2 cup peanut butter, creamy |
1/4 cup butter, softened |
1 teaspoon vanilla extract |
1 -2 cup powdered sugar |
Directions:
1. Put the chex cereal in a very large mixing bowl.
2. Melt chocolate, peanut butter and butter in a saucepan over low to medium heat, stirring to blend everything together. Once everything has melted together stir in the vanilla.
3. Pour the chocolate mixture over the chex cereal shaking the bowl and using a spatula to gently coat the cereal evenly.
4. Gradually dust the cereal with powdered sugar again shaking the bowl to coat evenly.
