This is very pretty, and tastes as good as it looks. I make it with boughten pound cake, quick and easy to put together. Make it the night before you plan to serve it and the flavors mellow really good. Ingredients:
punch bowl cake |
1 pkg yellow cake mix |
bake as directed |
6 oz vanilla instant pudding |
prepared and chilled |
1 (20 oz) can crushed pineapple |
undrained |
2 (10 oz) frozen strawberries |
thawed |
2 large bananas |
sliced |
16 oz whipped topping |
Directions:
1. Break up cake in chunks, layer cake pieces with 2. 1/2 of pudding, 1/2 pineapple, 1/2 strawberries, 3. 1 banana and 1/2 topping to edge. REPEAT 4. *** I used 2 store boughten pound cake loafs and sliced it. Made a layer of cake, layer of pudding, 1/2 of the pineapple, 1/2 of the strawberries, 1 banana and 1/2 of the cool whip then repeat procedure one more time ending with cool whip and sprinkle with nuts if you wish. |
