Pumpkin Scones

Aussie traditional scones
Ingredients:
1 oz softened butter
pinch salt
1/4 cup sugsr
1 cup cooked mashed pumpkin
1 egg
1/2 to 1/2 cup milk
2 1/2 cups self raising flour
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp ground nut neg
Directions:
1. Beat Butter & sugar tog till smooth
2. Add pumpkin
3. Mix well
4. Add egg and beat well
5. Fold in sifted dry ingrediants along with drizzleing in 1/4 cup of milk to make a soft but not sticky dough. Add more milk if required
6. Turn out onto a floured surface, pat out to 3/4 thick.
7. Cut into 2 squares or with a 2 scone cutter.
8. Pat all cut sides gently with extra flour to seal
9. Place on a greased oven tray
10. Brush over with milk to glaze
11. Bake in a pre heated oven at 450 F
12. 12-15 min.
