Pumpkin with molasses....giving it a full bodied taste, and darker color. Ingredients:
1 recipe pastry for a 9 inch single crust pie |
1 (15 ounce) can pumpkin puree |
1 cup packed brown sugar |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon |
1 teaspoon ground ginger |
2 tablespoons molasses |
3 eggs, beaten |
1 cup evaporated milk |
Directions:
1. Mix together pumpkin, brown sugar, salt, cinnamon, ginger, and molasses. Blend in eggs and evaporated milk. Pour filling into pie shell. 2. Bake at 425 degrees F (220 degrees C) for 40 minutes, or until set. |
