This is the recipe my grandmother always used. Not sure where it came from, but it's one of the best pumpkin pies I've ever had. Great when served while it's stile warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Makes 2 pies. Ingredients:
2 cups mashed pumpkin |
2 tablespoons flour |
2 1/2 cups sugar (artificial sweetener can be used in place sugar) |
2 teaspoons salt |
1 teaspoon cinnamon |
1 quart milk |
3 eggs |
Directions:
1. Mix all ingredients, eggs last, and bake at 450 degrees for 15 minutes. 2. Turn heat down to 400 degrees for about 1 hour or until knife comes out clean from the middle. |
