Pumpkin Melt in Your Mouth Biscuits |

I had extra pumpkin puree that I needed to use upo and in my search for a good way to use it, I came across this. These were very good. Light and fluffy, with a great taste. Ingredients:
2 1/2 cups flour |
3 teaspoons baking powder |
1 teaspoon salt |
1/4 cup sugar |
1 teaspoon cinnamon |
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg |
1/4 teaspoon allspice |
1/3 cup butter, cold |
3/4 cup pumpkin puree |
3/4 cup milk |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees F. 2. Sift flour into mixing bowl. 3. Stir in remaining dry ingredients. 4. Cut in butter with a pastry blender until mixture is crumbly. 5. Stir in pumpkin and milk to form a soft dough. 6. Roll out on floured surface to1/2-inch thickness. 7. Cut out biscuits with biscuit cutter. 8. Place on greased baking sheet. 9. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes. |
