This recipe makes two loaves. Make one for now and one for the freezer for unexpected guests. Ingredients:
2.5 c flour |
2 t baking soda |
1 t salt |
1 t cinnamon |
1 t nutmeg |
3 c sugar |
1 c vegetable oil |
4 eggs |
3/4 c buttermilk |
1 t vanilla |
16 oz can pumpkin puree |
1 c raisins |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. 2. Sift together flour, soda, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg. 3. Add sugar, oil, eggs and buttermilk. Mix well. 4. Stir in remaining ingredients. 5. Pour into two 9x5 loaf pans. Bake for 60-65 minutes. |
