This is a really good bread. I love it with butter and a bit of cinnamon sprinkled on. Ingredients:
1 (15 ounce) can pumpkin |
2 cups sugar |
2/3 cup butter or 2/3 cup margarine, softened |
1/2 cup water |
3 eggs |
2 1/2 cups flour |
2 teaspoons baking soda |
1 teaspoon salt |
1 teaspoon cinnamon |
1/2 teaspoon clove |
2/3 cup chopped dates |
1/2 cup raisins |
2/3 cup chopped pecans |
Directions:
1. Heat oven to 325F degrees. 2. Grease bottom of 2 loaf pans. 3. In large bowl mix first 5 ingredients. 4. Beat 1 minute at medium speed. 5. Add next 5 ingredients. 6. Beat 1 minute. 7. Stir in dates, raisins, and pecans. 8. Pour into greased pans. 9. Bake for 55-60 minutes till toothpick comes out clean. |
