Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookies |

Time for fall recipes....but we cannot forget our chocolate! Ingredients:
1/2 cup shortening |
1 1/2 cups sugar |
1 egg |
1 cup canned or cooked pumpkin |
1 tsp vanilla |
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour |
1 tsp baking powder |
1 tsp baking soda |
1/4 tsp salt |
1 tsp nutmeg |
1 tsp cinnamon |
1/2 cup walnuts, chopped |
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees; 2. Lightly grease cookie sheet with spray oil; 3. Cream shortening and sugar until light and fluffy; 4. Add egg, pumpkin and vanilla, mixing well; 5. Mix flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt and spices; 6. Add to wet mixture; 7. Fold in walnuts and chocolate chips; 8. Using teaspoon, drop dough on to cookie sheet; 9. Bake for 15 minutes or until light brown. |
