PUMPKIN CHIP COOKIES DATED 1961 This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Trazer Estate in Bonham, Texas in 1987. Another tried and true delight. I always make this for my cookie exchanges I host every Christmas. Read more . Yummy. Ingredients:
1-1/2 cups butter softened |
2 cups packed brown sugar |
1 cup granulated sugar |
15 ounce can solid packed pumpkin |
1 egg |
1 teaspoon vanilla extract |
4 cups all purpose flour |
2 cups quick cooking oats |
2 teaspoons baking soda |
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon |
1 teaspoon salt |
2 cups semisweet chocolate chips |
Directions:
1. In large mixing bowl cream butter and sugars then mix in pumpkin, egg and vanilla. 2. Combine flour, oats, baking soda, cinnamon and salt then gradually add to creamed mixture. 3. Stir in chocolate chips then drop by tablespoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheets. 4. Bake at 350 for 12 minutes. |
