I had never had this version of a chess bar before until here recently. A coworker made these and shared her recipe with us. Hope you enjoy them as much as I did. Ingredients:

1 tbsp pumpkin spice |
6 oz margarine |
2 eggs |
1 spice cake mix |
filling |
1 lb cream cheese |
2 eggs |
10 oz can of pumpkin |
1 tbsp pumpkin spice |
1 1/2 lbs. powdered sugar |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350. 2. CRUST: 3. Melt butter in microwave safe bowl. 4. Add ingredients and mix well with hand. 5. Press into a greased 10 x 9 cookie sheet. (do not bake!) 6. FILLING: 7. Mix ingredients with electric mixer on low for 1 minute. 8. Mix on medium for 2 more minutes. 9. Pour over crust. 10. Bake for 45-55 minutes. 11. Let cool 1 hour. 12. Cut into squares. |
