Not only is this absolutely delicious but it's a great dessert to serve around Halloween as the chocolate drizze on top forms a spiderweb. Very impressive. Ingredients:
crust |
1 1/4 c oreo cookie crumbs |
1/4 c butter or marg. melted |
filling |
3 pkgs. cream cheese, softened |
3/4 c sugar |
3 eggs |
1 1/2 cups canned pumpking pie filling (not canned pumpkin) |
1 t cornstarch |
topping |
1 cup sour cream |
2 sq. semi-sweet chocolate |
2 tsp veg. oil |
Directions:
1. Mix crumbs and melted butter or marg. Press onto bottom of 9 inch springform pan. 2. Beat cream cheese and sugar in large bowl. Add eggs, 1 at a time, and mix until blended. Stir in pumpkin pie filling and cornstarch. Pour over crust. Bake at 350 for 50-55 minutes or until center is just set. 3. Spread sour cream over top of warm cheesecake. Let cool. 4. Microwave chocolate with oil on medium power for 1 minute, stir until completely melted. Drizze over sour cream topping in a spiral pattern, starting from the center. Draw a tookpick outward from centre to edges though the circles to form a spiderweb. Remove side of pan and serve. |
