The addition of cream cheese makes this pumpkin bread even richer and more delicious. Ingredients:
1/2 cup butter |
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese |
2 1/2 cups sugar |
4 eggs |
1 (15 ounce) can pumpkin |
3 1/2 cups flour |
2 teaspoons baking soda |
1 teaspoon salt |
1 teaspoon cinnamon |
1/2 teaspoon baking powder |
1/4 teaspoon ground cloves |
1 cup chopped pecans |
Directions:
1. Beat together butter, cream cheese and sugar. 2. Add eggs, one at a time and mix well. 3. Add pumpkin and mix. 4. Add dry ingredients and blend well. 5. Pour into two greased 9x5 loaf pans. 6. Bake at 350° for 1 hour or until toothpick comes out clean. 7. Cool for 5 minutes, then remove from pan and place on cooling rack. |
