Ingredients:
2/3 cup(s) shortening |
2 2/3 cup(s) sugar |
4 eggs |
2 can(s) pumpkin (1 lb) |
2/3 cup(s) water |
3 1/2 cup(s) flour |
2 teaspoon(s) baking soda |
1 1/2 teaspoon(s) salt |
1/2 teaspoon(s) baking powder |
1 teaspoon(s) cinnamon |
1 teaspoon(s) cloves |
1 cup(s) nuts coarsely chopped |
2/3 cup(s) raisins |
Directions:
1. Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease well 2 loaf pans, 9x5x3 inches. Cream shortening and sugar. Add eggs, pumpkin and water. Blend in dry ingredients except nuts and raisins. Stir in nuts and raisins. Bake in prepared pans 65 to 75 minutes or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. |
