A yummy holiday bread Ingredients:
1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
1/2 cup vegetable oil |
1 1/2 cups sugar |
2 large eggs |
3/4 teaspoon salt |
1/3 cup water |
1 teaspoon baking soda |
1 cup fresh pumpkin |
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon |
1/2 cup chopped walnuts |
powdered sugar |
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. 2. Combine all dry ingredients (except walnuts and powdered sugar). 3. Mix well. 4. In another bowl, combine pumpkin, water, eggs, vanilla and oil. 5. Mix well. 6. Add dry ingredients to pumpkin mixture and beat thoroughly. 7. Stir in nuts and pour batter into a greased loaf pan. 8. Bake for 75-80 minutes. 9. Cool 15 minutes before removing from pan. 10. Sprinkle with powdered sugar. |
