From an old magazine. My Mother-in-law's favorite pumpkin bread recipe! Ingredients:
3 1/2 cups flour |
2 teaspoons baking soda |
1 1/2 teaspoons salt |
1 teaspoon cinnamon |
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg |
3 cups sugar |
4 eggs |
2 cups pumpkin |
1 cup vegetable oil |
2/3 cup water |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350°F 2. Sift dry ingredients together. 3. In separate bowl, beat eggs and stir in pumpkin, oil, and water. 4. Add wet mixture to dry mixture, stirring well to loisten. 5. Divide between 2 greased and floured 9 1/2 x 5 1/2 x 2 1/2 inch loaf pans. 6. Bake for about 1 hour. |
