I used to make my mother make this - now my girls pester me to make it. It's a little time-consuming, but a great project for a weekend day when there's too much snow to play outside. Ingredients:
2 loaves (or bags) frozen bread dough, thawed |
32 (half-inch) cubes mild cheddar cheese |
1 stick butter, melted (can substitute margarine) |
1/2 cup parmesan |
1 tsp oregano |
1/2 tsp garlic salt |
1 tsp parsley flakes |
Directions:
1. Melt a stick of butter in a small bowl, add parmesan, oregano, garlic salt, and parsley. 2. Cut thawed bread dough into 32 equal pieces 3. Wrap each piece of dough around 1 cube of cheese, dip in butter mixture. 4. Place in a greased bundt pan. 5. Let rise 1 1/2 hours 6. Bake at 350 for 30 minutes. |
