Ingredients:
12 cups puffed wheat cereal |
2 cups brown sugar, packed |
1 cup corn syrup |
2 tablespoons butter |
1 cup canned evaporated milk |
1/3 cup sugar |
Directions:
1. Place cereal in a large bowl; set aside. 2. In a heavy saucepan, bring brown sugar and corn syrup to a boil. 3. Add butter. 4. Combine evaporated milk and sugar; add to boiling mixture; add to a boiling mixture and continue cooking until a soft ball forms when liquid is dropped into cold water (240øF on a candy thermometer). 5. Pour over cereal and stir to coat. 6. Shape into 2-inch balls. |
