1/4 cup sliced green onions |
2 tbs butter |
3 med potatoes, peeled and cubed |
1 cup shredded american cheese |
3 eggs, divided |
1/2 cup milk |
1/2 tsp salt |
8 oz brown and serve sausage links |
Directions:
1. Cook onion in butter till tender but not brown. Cook potatoes in boiling salted water, till tender, about 10 minutes; drain and mash. Beat in cooked onion and cheese. 2. Beat together egg yolks, milk and salt; blend into potato mixture. Fold in beaten egg whites. 3. Turn into a 2 quart casserole. Arrange sausage links over potato mixture. Bake uncovered, at 375 till set, about 45 minutes. |
