This is a dutch twist on the classic Alfredo Sauce, but instead of making it with Parmesan cheese I made it with a young aged Prima Donna. For our dinner we served it over a bed of Penne and Italian seasoned Chicken and the family loved it. Ingredients:
1/2 cup water |
2 chicken bouillon cubes |
1/2 cup real butter |
1/4 cup flour |
2 cups fat-free half-and-half |
1 cup finely chopped prima donna cheese |
Directions:
1. Over medium heat dissolve bouillon cubes in water. Add butter to pan of bouillon water mixing well until completely melted. Continue stirring in flour and Half-and-Half until starting to thicken. Once thickening occurs stir in finely chopped cheese. Continue to stir until cheese and mixture are well blended together. 2. Serve over noodles or rice. |
