This is a recipe by Heloise I clipped from a magazine years ago. Ingredients:
joy dishwashing soap |
nonsudsing ammonia |
water |
Directions:
1. Mix equal parts full-strength, nonsudsing ammonia; dishwashing (not dishwasher) liquid-check label to be absolutely sure it doesn't contain bleach; and water.
2. If you like, put the solution in a handy spray bottle; label it clearly.
3. Then keep the bottle next to the washing machine so that, as you're sorting clothes to be washed, it's easy to spray any stains.
4. Note: be sure to wash sprayed clothes immediately!
