They are so delicious when warm out of the oven.You can make them as Pretzel Sticks too and fill them.Just flatten the Dough pieces fill them with Cheese Italian Herbs or what ever you like and roll them back into Sticks. Ingredients:
2 1/2 cups flour |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1 teaspoon sugar |
2 1/2 teaspoons instant quick-rising yeast |
1 cup warm water |
1/2 cup warm water |
1 tablespoon baking soda |
vegetable oil or pam cooking spray, on flat pan |
coarse salt (sea salt) |
3 tablespoons melted butter |
Directions:
1. Combine all dough ingredients in mixer bowl, mix till blended than use dough hook or knead it for about 5 minute. 2. When it is all silky, than put it in zip lock bag and close the bag. Let it rise for 30 minutes. 3. Preheat oven 400 degrees. 4. Divide the dough into 8 plus pieces. 5. Roll them into long ropes and form pretzels. 6. Whisk together warm water and baking soda and put in microwave for approximately 1 minute. 7. Dip each pretzel in the soda water and place on Pam sprayed pan. 8. Sprinkle coarse salt on wet pretzels. 9. Let them rest for about 10 minutes. 10. Bake 9 to 10 minutes, take out of oven and brush pretzels with melted butter. Enjoy! |
