This is a really simple way to make a quick pesto sauce. Ingredients:
4 cups fresh basil leaves (if you're not going to use fresh basil, don't bother.) |
1/2 cup olive oil |
3 garlic cloves |
6 sprigs parsley |
1/4 cup pine nuts |
1/4 cup parmesan cheese, grated |
1/4 cup romano cheese, grated |
salt and pepper, to taste |
Directions:
1. Place all ingredients but the cheese in a blender, and blend until all are chopped fine. 2. Remove from the blender and add the cheeses. 3. Toss with your favorite pasta (and preferrably sprnkle on a little more cheese!), then serve. |
