Prawns cooked in onion and Indian spices, with coconut masala paste to give it a sweetish taste Ingredients:
1 cup deveined prawns |
1/2 cup dried coconut |
1 sliced onion |
5 garlic cloves |
2 chopped onions |
1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder |
1 teaspoon red chili pepper |
1 teaspoon garam masala |
salt |
coriander, for garnishing |
Directions:
1. In oil roast the sliced onions, dry coconut and garlic cloves. Cool and make a paste. Keep aside. 2. In oil fry chopped onions till soft , add the prawns a keep stirring for few minutes. 3. Add water ,Tumeric powder, Red Chilly Powder and Garam Masala. 4. Keep cooking till the prawns are nearly cooked. 5. Add the coconut paste , salt and mix well. 6. Keeping mixing and cooking till the masala covers the prawns. 7. Garnish with coriander and serve with white rice or parathas. |
