A totally different way to make a starter Ingredients:
1 medium sized tomato per person |
sufficient prawns (called shrimps in the usa) |
sufficient white sauce |
Directions:
1. Clean and grill the prawns in lemon butter. 2. Cut the top 1/3 off the tomato and scoop the pulp out.(Keep the pulp and the top third in the freezer to use in soups or stews.) 3. Make the white sauce, but please add a little dry white wine to it. 4. Add the prawns to the white sauce, reserving 1 prawn per serving. 5. Fill the tomatoes wit h the prawns in white sauce. 6. Hook 1 prawn over the edge of each tomato. 7. heat under the grill for about 30 seconds. Just enough to heat the tomato, but not long enough to blacken the prawns. |
