Mexican pork and hominy soup. Ingredients:
2 green onion chives, sliced |
1 teaspoon vegetable oil |
1 teaspoon white vinegar |
1 teaspoon minced garlic clove |
1 cup water |
24 ounces water |
29 ounces drained white hominy |
2 lbs pork shoulder or 2 lbs bone in pork |
cilantro (optional) |
Directions:
1. (Over night) Marinade. 2. 2 Chive greens sliced. 3. 1tsp Vegetable oil. 4. 1tsp Vinegar. 5. 1tsp Minced garlic. 6. 1 Cup water. 7. 2lbs. Pork. 8. Add all ingrediants in large zip lock bag or air tight container,. 9. refrigerate over night. 10. -. 11. Add 1 can drained hominy, pork shoulder, 24 ounces water, and marinade mix into crock pot or large pan. 12. Bring to a simmer for 4 to 6 hours in covered pot, add salt to tast. 13. Cilantro optional. |
