I found this recipe in a circa 1930's community cookbook that my Mom grew up with in Kansas...cover is long gone! I thought it was interesting. It was entered by Beatrice M Clark Ingredients:
1 qt corn flakes |
1 qt milk |
2 eggs |
1/4 tsp cinnamon |
vanilla (no measurement) |
1/2 tsp salt |
1/4 c molasses |
1/4 c sugar |
1.4 tsp ginger |
Directions:
1. Stir all together and place inpieces of butter on top in a buttered baking dish. 2. Place dish in a pan of hot water and bake 3/4 to 1 hour in a moderate oven. 350 degrees |
