This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Fisher Estate in Rockwall, Texas in 1980. Ingredients:
4 potatoes peeled and thinly sliced |
3 tablespoons flour |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper |
16 ounce can tuna drained and flaked |
1 medium white onion chopped |
1 can cream of mushroom soup |
1/4 cup water |
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg |
Directions:
1. Place half of the potatoes in greased crock pot. 2. Sprinkle with half of the flour, salt and pepper. 3. Cover with half the tuna then sprinkle with half the onion. 4. Repeat layers in order then combine soup and water and pour over potato tuna mixture. 5. Dust with nutmeg then cover and cook on low for 10 hours. |
