One of the ultimate comfort foods. Ingredients:
2 knockwurst, links sliced |
1/2 cup celery, chopped |
1/4 cup onion, minced |
1/2 teaspoon caraway seed |
2 tablespoons butter |
2 cups milk |
1/2 cup potato flakes |
1/2 teaspoon fresh thyme |
1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped |
pumpernickel crouton |
Directions:
1. In a large saucepan, brown knockwurst. Add celery, onion, caraway seeds, and butter. Cook until celery and onion are tender. 2. Blend in milk, potato flakes, parsley, and thyme, stirring occasionally. 3. Served garnished with pumpernickel bread croutons. |
