This is a recipe that was on an insert in a bag of potatoes.. Ingredients:
3 potatoes, diced into 1-inch cubes and cooked |
4 tablespoons butter |
4 tablespoons flour |
4 cups milk |
1 teaspoon salt |
1/4 teaspoon pepper |
Directions:
1. Melt butter in saucepan over low heat. 2. Blend in flour, salt and pepper. 3. Add milk all at once. 4. Cook quickly, stirring constantly, till the mixture thickens and bubbles. 5. Remove sauce from heat when it bubbles. 6. Add potatoes to the sauce. 7. Heat through. 8. Season to taste. |
