I got this recipe from a girl I worked with. She took this to the soup and salad luncheon at the church every year. Everybody loved it. Ingredients:
1 lb bacon |
1 1/2 cups onions, diced |
4 cups potatoes, diced |
2 cups water |
2 teaspoons salt |
1/4 teaspoon pepper |
2 (10 3/4 ounce) cans cream of chicken soup |
3 cups milk |
1 cup sour cream |
Directions:
1. Fry bacon until crisp, remove from pan and saute onions until translucent. Drain bacon grease. 2. Boil potatoes in water and salt until fork tender - no need to drain. 3. Add pepper, onions, cream of chicken soup and milk. I usually put in the crock pot at this point to heat up and keep warm. 4. If rushed for time, you can heat this on the stove. 5. Just before serving, add crispy bacon and sour cream. |
