4 large potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced |
3 cups heavy whipping cream |
salt & freshly ground black pepper |
1/2 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese |
Directions:
1. Preheat the oven to 350°F. 2. In a medium bowl, toss the potato slices with the cream until thoroughly coated. 3. Generously butter a ceramic casserole dish. 4. Arrange 4 layers of the potatoes in the bottom of the pan and season with salt and pepper. 5. Sprinkle half of the Parmesan cheese on the potatoes and cover with 4 layers of potato. 6. Season with salt and pepper, sprinkle on the remaining Parmesan, and layer the remaining potatoes over the cheese. 7. Season with salt and pepper. 8. Bake for 1 1/2 hours, or until the potatoes are tender. |
