Comfort food at its finest! Ingredients:
1/2 cup flour |
1/4 teaspoon pepper |
1/2 cup butter |
3 cups milk |
4 cups ham, chopped |
5 cups potatoes, finely sliced |
3 cups cheddar cheese, shredded |
1 onion, chopped |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350. 2. Melt butter in saucepan. 3. Add flour and pepper and cook over medium heat for 1 minute, stirring constantly. 4. Remove from heat; stir in milk; Return to heat and cook, stirring often, until thick. 5. In very large bowl, mix remaining ingredients with sauce. 6. Bake in covered casserole dish(es) 60-90 minutes, or until potatoes are tender, removing cover after first 30 minutes of bake time. 7. Let cool 15 minutes before serving. |
