Its really good except that you need to use mashed potatoes without any milk in them. From The Victory Binding of the American Women's Cook Book, Wartime Edition Ingredients:
2 cups mashed potatoes (without any milk) |
2 eggs |
salt and pepper |
vegetable oil (for frying) |
Directions:
1. Beat eggs and mix into the mashed potatoes. 2. Salt and pepper to taste. 3. Drop from a spoon into the hot oil (375 F.) and fry until golden brown. 4. (2-3 min). 5. Drain on paper towels. 6. if the spoon is dipped into boiling water in between every use, each drop will retain the shape of the spoon. |
