This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Krieger Estate in Wylie, Texas in 1997. Ingredients:
8 medium potato cubes skin on |
1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder |
1 clove garlic chopped |
1 teaspoon red chili powder |
1 teaspoon coriander powder |
1 teaspoon cumin |
1/2 teaspoon mustard seeds |
2 whole red chilies |
1 tablespoon cooking oil |
1 white onion finely chopped |
Directions:
1. Cut each potato into eight pieces without removing the skin. 2. Heat oil then add mustard seeds and whole red chili. 3. Add all remaining spices, potatoes and onion and cook 5 minutes. 4. Add water and salt then cook on medium heat until done. |
