Yes, potatoes! Peanut butter too... so good, just try it! From Recipe Club on the Net. Ingredients:
1 cup of mashed potatoes or 1 medium sized potato (cooked) |
1 cup powdered sugar (approximately) may need more if not firm |
1 tablespoon vanilla |
1 tablespoon maple syrup |
1/2 cup butter |
peanut butter (crunchy or smooth) |
Directions:
1. Combine mashed potatoes, powdered sugar, vanilla, butter and maple 2. syrup until a dough forms. It's better to wait until the potato is 3. cooled because if you don't, the sugar melts and you seem to have to 4. add alot more sugar than if the potato were cooled. Roll the dough 5. out to whatever thickness you like. Roll it to about 1/4 inch or 6. maybe a little thicker. Spread peanut butter (crunchy or smooth) 7. onto the rolled out dough. Roll the candy up and wrap it in wax 8. paper or plastic wrap. Put it in the refrigerator to harden it up a 9. little. Slice and eat. |
