For those of you that have heard of potato burritos, this is just a casserole version of them. I found it to be an easier and a less messy way to enjoy it. Ingredients:
2 lbs. ground beef |
6-8 flour tortillas |
3/4 box 2% velveeta |
milk |
10 hash brown patties |
season all (salt, pepper and other seasonings) |
Directions:
1. Brown and season ground beef in a frying pan, set aside. 2. Fry the hash brown patties and set aside. 3. Make the cheese by cutting the Velveeta into small cubes, and slowly adding milk to the mix while you heat it. 4. Warm the tortillas either in the microwave or on a frying pan. Be careful to not do it too long! 5. Using a large bowl, or casserole dish, put down a tortilla, then a layer of beef, then a layer of hash brown patties, then top it with cheese. 6. Repeat last step until you run out of ingredients. 7. A good addition to this would be salsa or sour cream on the side or top. 8. Cut like a pie and serve. |
