So good on hot rice.....cornbread or rolls on the side Ingredients:
1 lb of smoked sausage, sliced |
4 medium potatoes, cubed into 1 pieces |
1 onion, chopped |
1/2 cup green onions |
1/2 cup of dry roux |
6 cups of water |
2 chicken bouillon cubes |
salt & pepper |
Directions:
1. Brown sausage & saute onions at same time 2. Add roux and about 1/2 cup of the water until it looks creamy 3. Add the cubed potatoes and cook 5 mins. 4. Add the rest of the water, seasonings and bouillon cubes 5. Let it cook on low for about 35-45 mins. 6. Stirring often. |
